Fantasy: The Strip’s Sexiest Tease (Vegas Show at Luxor)

Fantasy: The Strip’s Sexiest Tease is an adult show at the Luxor Hotel featuring sexy burlesque style acts live on stage.

NOTE: Just in case you don’t read to the end, remember there is no photography allowed. However, because everyone WANTS to take pictures or video, they WILL allow you to take pics and videos during the curtain call at the end. They will tell you when it is okay – but at our show they didn’t tell you it was coming at the end – so it was a race to get the phone out. Just so you know – you will get a chance.

Show Overview

The show runs just over an hour and features various displays of dance and sensuality using various set pieces and a a cast of 10 beautiful ladies from various locations around the US and the world.

There are no men in this show – just women. If your significant other is wanting them to share the stage with some beefcake? This won’t be your show. Consider Rouge (see our review).

The acts are wrapped around by a charming hostess who also sings many of the numbers during the show – allowing time for the stage to be reset between acts.

The show is 18+ and features full topless nudity and hints of sexuality but nothing “crude” or “explicit”. You won’t see any simulated sex acts or “girl on girl action” here per se. The girls get flirty with each other in a couple of the “tracks” (VIP note: this is what the dancers call each act or set .. they call them “tracks”. See? VIP pays off …) but that is about it.

There is a separate VIP tour you can take BEFORE the show. It is a separate cost and doesn’t include the show tickets. To read our review of the VIP tour, click here.

Pre-Show

If you’re taking the VIP tour, you’ll be dropped off in the lobby waiting for the show – otherwise, they will let you in about 15 minutes or so prior to show time.

As seen from row three of the theater.

The entrance to the Fantasy theater is on the second level across from the Titanic and Bodies exhibits. It is hard to miss – but easy to dismiss because if the doors aren’t open yet? It doesn’t even look like a venue entrance. It looks more like a secret door security comes rushing out of in an emergency.

If you see the large signs and gray alcove/doors? You’re in the right place.

Once inside, there are things to look at, places to sit – and more importantly – a full bar. You aren’t allow to bring drinks in, but you can buy drinks at the bar and take them into the show with you.

There are standing tables to hang out at and drink while you wait for seating to start.

Booze is typical Vegas pricing – expect $15 (at the time of writing) for your basic well drinks/cocktails and there are upgrades like a collectable, refillable (for a fee) cup but it isn’t themed for Fantasy, it is themed for the Luxor. Fortunately, we went VIP earlier and got swag including some themed shot glasses.

Once seating starts, you go into the theater. It is quite intimate – seating about 300 or so. If you’re in the FRONT row or the front of the rear section (along the walking path that splits the two sections), you can expect some interactions with the cast. Sitting up front and center might get you some involvement and on-stage time later in the show. Be ready.

VIP note: This used to be an IMAX theater before its conversion about 25 years ago. Crazy, right?

The Show

The show consists of about 10 “acts” – ranging from straight up dance numbers to “themed” segments that might feature props such as a bed or “ariel silks” where they do crazy things hanging from long silk sheets from the ceiling.

If you’re thinking “hey, this sounds kind of like a strip club”, there are definitely some hints here and there. But the dancing is like “real” dancing. You can tell these women aren’t just twerking for dollar bills – they are professional dancers. You’ll see hints of it with some of the more ballet styles mixed into some of the acts.

Where a strip club is considered “sleazy” (hey, not by me) this would be considered “classy” … topless … entertainment. Yes, they get fully topless. No pasties or coverage and almost every act from the opener on features topless dancing. Where a strip club is about putting everyone’s attention on the boobies – they are here to titillate (pardon the wording there) as PART of something bigger.

This is how you see topless girls and still bring your reluctant spouse with you. Hopefully she is bi like The Gal is and appreciates them as much as you do.

Speaking of couples, the show was packed with them. Part of what makes going to these sorts of venues interesting is to see who else is showing up. All walks of life are here. MOSTLY couples – both much younger than us and those considerably older. There were “groups of dudebros” there and that weird ass “one guy showing up alone”, but for the most part? It is a couples’ crowd.

During the wrap around segments, the hostess/singer will make jokes (some good, some bad – but at least she admits it) and she will interact with the audience. If you stand out and are in the first couple of rows, you may get called out and had a little fun with. It is tame and fun – everyone has a good laugh (thank you, collector’s cup filled with booze).

When the show finishes up – they will tell you that you’re allowed to take pictures/videos now. They do a curtain call, announcing each of the ladies that was dancing that night so you’ll be able to remember your favorites later.

Post Show

So this is important to know. At the end of the show, you can either leave or wait a bit and the dancers will come out for a meet and greet and sign autographs, take questions as well as a couple will take pictures with you.

Photo op after the show (no VIP required)

When you see the bastards with the gorgeous colored booklets getting them signed with extra attention from the ladies? That’s the VIP members that had the tour before the show. They have something for them to sign. Very cool. While it doubles the price of the show to get the VIP treatment ahead of time, if you can swing it? It was interesting and fun – and you get a swag bag of branded goodies so you have something to take home.

Final Thoughts

It is a fun little show. It has been around for a quarter of a century and many of the women have been there 10+ years. It is pro, classy and enjoyable. It is pretty affordable, too.

It isn’t the BIGGEST show in Vegas but is is cozy, fun and a good time. But consider it an “appetizer” for bigger shows like Rouge (see our review here). If you can afford to see multiple shows, this should be on your list for sure. But if you can only afford one? Consider Rouge.
