Christie’s Cabaret Tempe

Typically we do our clubbing in Las Vegas when we are there, but my bi-wife needed some girl loving so we decided to take in some local talent last Saturday night.

To be fair, we’re used to Vegas-caliber clubs (read our review of the Palomino Club in Las Vegas); that is — private VIP rooms, bottle service, packages, club-provided transportation, etc. We’re also used to top shelf entertainers … not just abundant and beautiful but true artists in the erotic dancing.

After stopping at a rather nasty alternative (that’s a separate review) we landed in Tempe at Christie’s Cabaret.

Location and Parking

The location is very convenient; just off the freeway. Easy access and you don’t feel like you’re in a seedy strip-club-zone section of town.

The externals are nice — parking is free and abundant. Place looks classy from the outside. We saw no sketchy elements coming (about 9pm) or going (about 2am).

It is well-lit and feels safe — even in the middle of the night (or morning).

The Staff and Drinks

From the moment we stepped into the club until we were (literally) on our way to the car in the parking lot — the staff was incredible.

The security/bouncers are dressed in suits (we like this profession look) and were extremely competent and helpful. We noted them bringing requested girls to the customer’s tables; they were constantly tidying up table and chair layouts — you know, what you would expect them to do. Very polite — no “thugness” going on.

Danielle greeted us at the entrance and took our cover ($12 each) — and just her personality and friendliness immediately told us the club was going to be for us.

As we entered, our server (her name eludes us — which is a shame because we liked her a lot) immediately greeted us, helped us navigate and get seated. We started a tab and she took great care of us all night long — we didn’t ask her to send girls our way, but we did have her break bills for us, etc. Always attentive, we were never wanting for drinks. We hope to have her again.

Well drinks were $6; we also had a couple of diet sodas $5 each and to stay hydrated, we found water was $5 a bottle. VERY reasonable. Our bar tab at the end of the night was surprising — in a good way.

The Talent and Couple Friendliness

We like a real diversity in club talent. We like variations of styles, body shapes and sizes — we really enjoy getting to talk to them and get a sense of their personalities, too.

My wife likes girls 😀

While Christie’s doesn’t have the sheer number of dancers as a Vegas club, we were quite satisfied with the quantity and variations of girls. There was the heavily tatted “bad girls” look right down to the cute Asian schoolgirl look and lots in between. We typically don’t go for the “classic busty blonde” motif and while there was some here, they weren’t in the majority.

The dancers as a whole were “7s” and “8s” (in comparison to our experiences in Vegas). We found them to be personable and it was easy to chat them up. We didn’t feel pushed for VIP type dances ($25) or even table dances ($10). Only one dancer discussed the more expensive exclusive rooms (starting at around $150 as I recall). Low pressure — and that was nice.

Our particular situation is different, too. We are a couple and we focus on my wife as the target for dances and attention. This immediately puts us into a different category. Not all dancers are comfortable with couples in general (I know, there can be a lot of drama here; respect and understand) and even more aren’t “into girls” even if they will dance for them on demand — they may not really know how to give the right attention to a woman.

My bisexual wife likes dances from girls who like girls.

We put out the proper vibes and communications (there is an art to being a couples patron, too, BTW) to the dancers my wife expressed interest in. Those that danced for woman came and saw us later — and those that were obviously not into girls didn’t. We appreciate that — as long as there are enough dancers that ARE (so we have a good selection). This is where the sheer number of dancers in Vegas help out. Nobody likes the awkward exchange where not all parties are into it.

Christie’s came through in that department as well. My wife had a couple of disappointments (a beautiful Asian woman that put her hair up with sticks), but overall — most of the dancers she had the hots for came over to us. A few that really impressed us; Loveless, Lillith, Cinnamon. The blonde Asian girl in the school-girl outfit (sorry, we missed your name!)

All fun times.

Mileage

Another big consideration from clubs is “mileage”, right? How much you’re allowed to touch and interact during dances.

As a woman, my wife is often given far more latitude in touching than men ever are. My wife also doesn’t abuse this and sometimes even touches less based on the dancer’s body language. We try to be polite customers and in our experience, this politeness leads to more allowances with repeat dances.

In Vegas, there was a lot more touching going on. A LOT MORE.

Mileage has a lot of factors. The state/city may have rules, the club itself may have rules — and of course, in the end — the dancers have theirs too and that is the final say.

Mileage can be tricky waters to navigate.

At Christie’s we had many dances and watched others. While other women definitely took advantage, the men we’re mostly hands off — no breast play (my wife’s favorite, unfortunately).

That doesn’t discourage everyone, though. In chatting one of the dancers up, she told us a customer had JUST grabbed her crotch with no permission or warning. So not cool. We want the dancers to be comfortable with us — so we always discuss boundaries. This is good advice to stag men attending clubs too.

Oh and that rather drunk woman there with her boyfriend — who apparently had an orgasm during her table dance.

Clubbing is fun.

If you’re looking for unusually high-mileage, you may have to downgrade your club experience to get it; it isn’t here.

We’ll Be Going Back!

The club is overall couples friendly; there are dancers that enjoy dancing for women and most of the dancers understand the dynamics of working with couples.

We were treated great by staff and talent. My wife got her girl on. The experience was affordable.

As with the Palomino Club in Vegas, we’ll be back to Christie’s again soon.
